Amerika di tahun 1930-an, dimana dunia baru saja melewati malaise dan bersiap memasuki masa Perang Dunia II. Seorang reporter asal New York bernama Polly Perkins yang bekerja sebagai wartawan ditugaskan untuk menyelidiki beberapa ilmuwan terkenal dunia yang mendadak menghilang.
The investigation took her to meet with many strange cases like an airplane with a unique shape and giant robots appear suddenly attacked the city. In the constriction, Polly had help from ex lover who is now a pilot named Joseph Sullivan or better known by his nickname Sky Captain, assisted by his faithful mechanic named Dex Dearborn.
Sullivan turned out to be the head of a union named Flying Legion and the duty to face the threat of robots with P-40 Warhawk aircraft. Allegedly, a smart but evil scientist named Dr. Totenkopf become the leader of all these events. Sky Captain and Polly managed to find the headquarters of the scientist who was under the sea.
For that, they are forced to ask for an eccentric female captain named Franky Cook. Frankie is a woman who eventually involved the competition by competing for Sky Captain Polly. Can they overcome these differences before the Totenkopf troops destroyed the city?
